Kirk Donley grew up in Chatham, IL. He has been playing guitar for 24+ years and has an Associates in music from LLCC where he studied voice and Jazz guitar. Kirk teaches guitar at Capital City Music and has been in local bands such as Sealife and The Transatlantic.
Emily grew up in Carthage, IL. She discovered violin around the age of 10. Her grandparents would drive over an hour at least once a week to take her to Macomb for lessons. She has studied with Karen Martin in Macomb, IL, Dr. Mihai, former concertmistress of the Illinois Symphony, and Angela Hanson at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN.
Kirk & Emily met in 2013. They were married a year later but they only played music as a duo sporadically. They began playing a few friends’ weddings and The Dandelion Pickers were born! They love providing a movie-like soundtrack to your wedding day and making it sound as gorgeous as you’ve imagined.
They live in Springfield with their kiddos and enjoy sharing their love of music with family and friends.
